Back in October, Burnout Crash hit the XBOX Live Arcade Marketplace. For fans of the Burnout franchise, it was a no-brainer purchase. For a lot of us, the best part of Burnout was the Crash mode and for me that’s where that game began and ended. While playing Burnout Crash non-stop, I remember thinking, “I wish they had something like this on the iOS because I’d love to play it.” With Traffic Panic 3D, it seems like Neon Play has made my wish come true.
There are two ways you can play this game. The first is the classic Traffic Panic style where you try to score as high as you can by getting vehicle across the intersection without crashing. If you cross the intersection without stopping then you get a much better score. To go/stop you just tap the right side of the screen. There is a traffic light so you can keep track of what you’re doing.
The second way to play this game, and my favorite is to cause the most damage. This is why I love this game so much. I love to blow things up. What I like to do is get a full intersection of vehicles waiting for oncoming traffic, then I give them a green light and cause a crash big enough to cause an explosion. If things go well it will start a chain reaction of explosions and give a huge damage score.
Both “modes” as I call them merit a decent amount of credits. The best way to get credits is to go for a high damage score. Credits allow you to unlock other vehicles like taxi cabs, cop cars, fuel tankers and even a tank. Also you can unlock an additional four levels using credits.
In-App purchases are available in game, but they’re balanced so you don’t have to buy them. They’re just there to help you if you need, or to unlock everything the uber-easy way.
Overall this is a great arcade game that is easy to play and very addicting. Also it’s great for all ages and I highly recommend it.
